When we first got the keys to our studio, we had a lot of work to do. Hunter green carpet, mint green walls and dark brown curtains. The kitchen and bathroom were painted puke yellow and the only lighting options were the flickering fluorescent lights.
Over the past 15 months, we’ve slowly made it our own. Dark wood floors, fresh walls, natural light and custom furniture has made it a peaceful place. We just recently added a large sectional couch from Interior Define to the main meeting area to make it even more comfortable for our guests.
When our clients visit the studio and stay for a bit, we eventually hear phrases like, “It is so relaxing here!” or “I wish I could work here every day.” It makes our hearts happy to hear it. We think it’s important to create some sort of oasis or retreat for those you work with.
Of course, we don’t think that happens by chance. We don’t take on anyone’s crazy or stressful ways. Everyone else can operate as they wish, but we have systems and processes in place to prevent exactly that! In a way, we set a standard of calm before we collaborate.
